The Center for Family Forests’ Certification Committee serves as the National Standards Interpretation Committee (NSIC) for the AFF Standards of Sustainability.

The Certification Committee is seated with Tree Farmers, ATFS Independently Managed Group Managers, state forester representatives, industry representatives, and AFF staff.

Formal interpretations of the Standards are achieved and approved by the Certification Committee through consensus. All current interpretations are listed below. Please contact Victoria Lockhart for more information on the AFF Standards Interpretation process.
