The Women's Group was started in 2010 as a way to bring awareness to the American Forest Foundation's mission: to ensure the future of America's forests for current and future generations. The US is losing 1.5 million acres of forestland each year and we need to save America’s forests.
Women across the country are nominated for The Women’s Group because they are influential and philanthropic and are interested in conservation, environmental education, and women supporting women.
"Joining the Women's Group of the American Forest Foundation is important to me personally because of the future of our environment and the education of our children. Professionally it will help me to learn about and be part of the future of our forests, which produce the most necessary resource for my industry – printing and publishing." – Jaci Maher, President of A-Link Printing
